Welcome to the world of Princeton through "deltiology," more commonly known as postcard collecting. This book contains over 200 postcards and images of Princeton-both the town and the university-from approximately 1910 to 1920. The accompanying text gives the historic context for each postcard. This extensive collection is testimony to its success in taking us back several generations and enhancing our understanding of Princeton as it is today in relation to the small college town of yesterday.
William K. Evans, now deceased, was an avid postcard collector concentrating on Princeton and its environs, as well as those for his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania.
